I've worked in live television production as a newscast director, graphic & animation designer and videographer since 1995. As of 2013 I can add a master's degree in Interactive Designer to that list.

I attended Quinnipiac University to make myself marketable in a field where I could continue being creative in digital media, expand my skill-set to include producing and designing in interactive media and ultimately lead to new opportunities for career growth.

Digging deeper than basic market research to ensure rigorous and thorough analysis. The results must be quantifiable, unique to the client's needs and customer centered.

I don't rest until I've mined every digital medium to provide a product that doesn't just deliver, it shines. Satisfaction in workmanship, I believe, is a two way street.

TIME MANAGEMENT

I chuckle at the typical workforce’s deadlines. Requests like a "day of the week" or by "day’s end" aren’t specific enough. I’m accustomed to minutes and seconds.

BEHIND THE SCENES

DEFINE REQUIREMENTS

The design team and client discuss the category of the project (commerce, entertainment, etc.) and the specific requirements. Further, a sense of the client’s business persona, brand and specific needs will be determined.

PROJECT PLANNING

A project plan report is produced that includes purpose, objectives, scope, production schedule and post-launch maintenance. This document is presented to and signed by the client before the website pre-production begins.

RESEARCH AND SHARE

The team discusses peer analysis, demographics, site persona and SWOT analysis (if client has a current site). Pinning down any technology obstacles and requirement integration are determined. On completion the design moves to the production stage.

DESIGN & PRODUCTION

Design follows by defining color palette and font choices. Responsive-centric sitemaps and wireframes are produced for multiple screen sizes. Production follows with coding and content integration concluding with in-house testing, cross browser compatibility and refinement.

USABILITY TESTING & FINE-TUNING

If the budget allows, group of usability 15 to 20 usability testing participants is preferable for identifying any website complications. A group of 5 can also identify hitches in the design though not as accurate. The team refines the site according to the results of the study and prepares for the launch.

PRODUCT LAUNCH

Prior to the launch, social media demographics will be identified and heavy marketing for client’s web presence will be initiated concluded with the launch. Celebration time: the website is off and running and we have another delighted client!
